Unable to launch PSE 2022

I've been a long-time Adobe PSE user so two weeks ago when my app began throwing fits - freezing, and then refusing to launch, I thought it must be a corruption issue.  Life got in the way and I finally got back to dealing with this app.  I'm on a 2018, running Monerey 12.5.  I uninstalled the app and downloaded the app from the Adobe site.  Still no go.  I've rebooted my mini, which makes no difference at all.  In fact, I can't even get Organizer to launch...just the spinning cog of death.
