Unable to load movie (.mov) file from iPhone

I tried loading a movie (.mov) file from my iPhone to Elements 2018 Organizer.  No thumbnail appears and when I try to play the move, I get the following message:

"Unable to load move

The selected file cannot be played because your system does not have the required compresser/decompresser(codec) installed.

Click here for more information."

When I click where indicated, I am redirected to an unhelpful webpage. 

It is surprising to me that Adobe released a product with a known bug (per client support), no fix, and no estimated time of fix. 

Please help.
