Unable to Scan in Photoshop Elements 11 using new computer.

I am trying to use a new computer in which Photoshop Elements 11 was installed, after having been in another computer. When I click on "Import", like I did in my old computer, the only option that shows up is "WIA Support". When I click on that, I get the following error message: "No WIA compatible devices were detected. Check that your device is plugged into the computer and that the power is turned on."

The thing is, my printer/scanner is WIFI-enabled and doesn't need to be plugged directly into the computer. I have no problem printing items, and I can scan using the built-in scanning software, but I can't get the scanner to communicate with Photoshop Elements. How can I fix this?
