Unable to see preview of PSD files when opening

i just purchased PSE 2019. In PSE 10 when opening file and I singled clicked on a PSD file, I could see an image of what that layered template looked like in a panel at the bottom of pop up window. I have looked at various settings in the open file window and in preferences and can’t find a way to get that same functionalit. Very frustrating to have to open every single file I have to see what it looks like versus just single click to preview first. Any help figuring out how I can get that back into the new version would be greatly appreciate. Thanks.

What OS are you using?  If I understand you correctly, there used to be a plug-in or workaround that allowed you to see a thumbnail of PSD files in earlier versions of Windows.  That capability is no longer available but is probably requested often of Adobe.  Since you apparently do a lot of work with PSD files, I would recommend using the Organizer for your media viewing.  The thumbnails can be seen there.
