Upgraded Photoshop Elements 2021 to 2022. I would like to safely uninstall the "old" 21 version. And keep old projects that were created. Any suggestions? Thanks

Deleting the program does not delete the catalog which will remain saved on your computer (unless you manually moved it to a really strange place).  For safety, you can always do a backup of just the catalog files that contain all of your keywords and projects etc.  Simply go to File>Backup Catalog and (after some analysis and reconnecting any missing files) use the option to backup the catalog only (unless you also want to backup your photos and videos too).  The catalog in its current state will then be backed up to a safe place of your choosing.

When you upgraded from 2021 to 2022, I assume that your catalog was successfully transferred to the newer version.  If so, the program made a copy of your Elements 2021 catalog for continued use in that version.  The newer catalog is converted to the Elements 2022 format.  So, if all of your projects are currently available in Elements 2022, there is no reason why deleting the older program will have any effect on them.

Added:  Deleting the older program does not delete the older catalog which can be used as a backup and can be converted again in the future.

Thank you for the advice.

Which folders do you suggest be saved prior to uninstall?  Trying to be safe, if something goes wrong.
