My update never works. It said update could not be applied, and then when I click on "error log" it tells me "your file was not found".

Hi Brian, I have windows, Elements 14, says I have a new "photoshop elements 14.1 update, when i click install now, it says do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device (Adobe Application Manager (updater)), I hit yes, and then it says update failed/updates could not be applied, i click on "error log", and it says "the update server is not responding, The server might be offline temp or the internet or firewall settings may be incorrect.

Did you try updating the Application Manager?

The Creative Cloud and PSE now use the same application manager - so it's worth trying.

Good morning, thanks for replying. How do I go about updating the Application Manager? Also, I am wanting to upgrade to Photoshop...what would be the simplest and easiest way to do that? If I do the cloud photoshop and lightroom, do I delete off then my elements and current lightroom? I will be gone on a shoot until 1, but this afternoon would like to work on this issue and maybe do my upgrades which would take care of any glitches possibly? Thanks for your help!!

Hi,

OK, standard questions :-

Which operating system are you running on?

Which version of PSE are you trying to update?

Which update is it trying to apply?

Have you tried disabling any antivirus while the update is in progress?

You might need to update the Application Manager.
