Update old Photoshop Elements license to 2024 not 2025

Hi

I have an old Photoshop Elements license that I want to update, but I only want to update to Photoshop Elements 2024. I don't need the latest features that 2025 offers.

 

So I would very much appreciate advice on whether:

* I am able to do that (especially given that Elements 2025 was only released in October)?

* And if I am able to upgrade my license to Elements 2024, is the license still endless, or does it change to a 3-year license even though I have an original serial number?

    You cannot purchase Elements 2024 any more through Adobe.  You may be able to find it at a computer store or online.  If purchasing online, be careful as there are many scammers out there.

    If you are able to purchase Elements 2024, it will remain a perpetual license.  And, if it makes any difference to you, we have been told that the Elements 2025 Organizer will continue to work even after the 3 year license expires.

    You cannot buy Elements 2024 from Adobe.  As the owner of a prior version of Elements, you are eligible for a prior-owner discount if you buy Elements 2025 from Adobe.  However, Adobe is currently running a special price that is cheaper than the usual discount.  You may also find an even cheaper version of Elements 2025 from third-party retailers during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Holiday period.

     

    You can only buy Elements 2024 from a third-party seller.

     

    As I have said before, whether you buy Elements 2024 or 2025, neither is an upgrade in the traditional computer program sense.  You do not need to have a prior version installed on your computer in order to install Elements 2024, although prior versions can coexist with whatever you decide to buy.

    All versions of Elements are independent of each other.  So when you "upgrade" to a new version, it has no effect on any prior version.  Whatever current version of Elements you have can remain installed on your computer and will continue to work.
