upgraded to windows 11/Missing file error in Organizer

 Husband backed up photos in PSE 2020 and reinstalled into new Windows 11. However all my photos are displaying error Missing Files on all 16,000 photos.

I have tried reconnecting the files, but no luck. What am I missing here.

What kind of backup? The only way is the backup function of the organizer followed by a restore from the organizer.

We need more info:

- Was the restore made to a new computer or on the old computer?

- How was Windows 11 installed?

- were the media files and the catalog folder kept or were they 'restored'?
