Upgrading from PSE 9 to 18 with actions

I have upgraded from PSE9 to PSE18, I was able to load my actions into 18 without a problem.  My question is about the display.  In PSE 9 I had "boxes" with the names of my actions on them that I could click on, is that possible in PSE 18?  My other question is that once I run the  action, none of the layers have names on them like they did in PSE 9, is there a way to fix that?
