Upgrading PSE to 2018 or wait for PSE 2019?

I need to upgrade my PSE to at least 2018, as installing High Sierra on my Mac does not seem to support my PSE 13. It appears that adobe has had new releases every Sept or Oct for the last few years. If I upgrade to PSE 2018 now (Sept.9, 2018) and Adobe comes out with the new PSE 2019 version in a month or so, will I have to "pay" again for the newest version. Is there any 30-60 day upgrade concession?

You can opt for the free trial version which offers full functionality for 30 days.

On the other hand, you may be entitled to a free upgrade to PSE2019 if you purchase less than one month before PSE2019 is available.

Thanks Michel for your thoughts on doing the trial version.

So your suggesting, I should try the 2018 trial version for 1 month and then go for the upgrade after it expires, hoping they have come out with a newer version (2019) by then.....or maybe they will even have a new "trial version of 2019", which might even allow me a little more time. Cheers Deb

You can be happy for 30 days for free before thinking about buying it.

If history repeats itself, PSE2019 will be available beginning of October, but nobody can say for sure today.

At the end of the 30 days, there is no big risk to buy PSE2018 before its successor is ready. You should be entitled to a free upgrade then.

When you purchase PSE2018 after the trial version, you don't have to reinstall, just to enter the license key you'll receive for your purchase.
