Upon startup PSE 15 overrides color profile for monitor and monitor becomes too bright

Question

Hi, recent convert to PSE 15 here. First time poster.

I have a color calibrated BenQ BL2711U monitor connected to an AMD graphics card running on Windows 10 64 bit

When I check Start > Settings > Display, the .icm profile shows up.

When I open other applications (Word, Chrome, etc) the color profile remains the same.

When I open up Photoshop Elements 15, The screen flashes a few times and becomes noticeably brighter.

As a result my photos look too bright and/or saturated

This does not happen when I start Photoshop Premiere Elements

Any thoughts on why this happens for PSE15? Any settings I have applied incorrectly?

I did figure out the problem.Windows 10 occasionally reverts drivers to the standard windows driver for the device. This happened to my graphics card. Asking Windows to look for the latest drivers resulted in a message that the optimal driver had already been installed.After downloading the latest driver software directly from the AMD website, installing that driver, then redoing the color calibration (using X-rite ColorMunki Photo) PSE15 no longer overrules the .icm profile for the monitor
