In PSE 2019, I've used the "cookie cutter" tool to extract a circular portion of a photo, which I then saved as a JPEG image. The problem is, when I try to insert the circular image into a diagram in my Word document, the square bounding box comes along with the image. Is there any way in PSE to crop out a circular piece of a photo and save it so that it can be inserted as a circular, not square, image into another application? Thanks much!
On the Cookie Cutter option bar, be sure that "crop" is checked.
Drag out the circular outline to embrace what you wish to retain, then commit with the checkmark
The checkerboard pattern outside the circulat selection denotes tansparency.
Go to File>save as and save in a file format which supports transparecy. Try PNG. JPEG will not preserve transparency.
This can be imported into another document suitable for your purpose.
