I just bought and install and upgrade to Photoshop 2023 from my previous version of 2020.

I was wondering whether I can us a backup copy from the 2020 version to install on the 2023 new version.

Thanks

Yes, when you restore, the new version of the Organizer first restores both your catalog and your media files, then prompts you to convert the older verstion of the catalog to the current one. This does not overwrite the old catalog, this only renames it with a -1 suffix. If you skip that prompt, you can 'convert' yourself when you are ready;  the conversion does not take a lot of time.

If you did not uninstall 2020 you can keep using it. But I'm not sure I understand completely... if you already had a subscription to 2020 you wouldn't need to pay again for 2023? Unless - just had an idea - it was actually Photoshop Elements?
