Using Text tool in PSE 2024

Most of the time when using the text tool in this version, it only writes text in all caps, despite not having caps lock on. Every now and then it will write text correctly. Any ideas on how to fix this so I can use upper and lower case letters consistently?

Have you tried to reset the Type tool?
