Version Confusion: How to Check for Updates?

Build number is mentioned in second line of the screenshot shared by you above. For the update, you will get the notification.

Also, as mentioned by Greg, updates for App store versions are not in sync with Adobe Store versions.

That said, we are working on the App store update and you will soon get that.

I know virtually nothing about Macs but it appears that you don't have the latest update version.  Here is my Windows version Help>About Photoshop Elements dialog with the build number called out.  The build number shown in the second line of your screenshot is an earlier release.

As I understand it, the App Store version does not update on the same schedule as the Adobe store version (or the Microsoft Store version for that matter).   If there is an update available, it will be installed automatically (although you will be given a choice to install it immediately after launch of the program  or upon exit from the program.
