Hello!

I have recently downloaded Photoshop Elements 15. I want to download VSCO film to use within it (as apparently that's how you use VSCO film?? Can't you tell I'm a beginner!) anyway, can someone advise me if you're able to use VSCO film in Photoshop elements 15, or is there a different version of photoshop I need to download to use it?

Thanks!

Hey, VSCO (Visual Supply Company) Film is a set of film emulation presets for Lightroom and Photoshop that mimic the look and feel of various film stocks. Here are the general steps for using VSCO Film presets in Lightroom:

    1. Import your photo(s) into Lightroom.
    2. Go to the Develop module.
    3. Scroll down to the Presets panel on the left side of the screen.
    4. Click on the "+" button and navigate to where you've saved the VSCO Film presets.
    5. Select the preset you want to apply to your photo and click on it.
    6. Adjust the settings as needed, such as exposure, contrast, and saturation.
    7. Once you are satisfied with the look, export the image or save it as a new version.

For Photoshop, the process is similar but you will have to first convert your image to a smart object and then apply the VSCO filter as a smart filter.

It's worth noting that the final look of the image may vary depending on the original image, lighting conditions and other factors, so it's advisable to play around with the settings and different presets to achieve the desired look.

Take a look at a subscription to the Photography Plan starting at $9.99 (or local pricing) per month. I’ve not personally used the VSCO film presets but I think they are more likely to be compatible with Lightroom CC or Photoshop CC than Elements.
