We have Elements 5.0. What are the odds that upgrading to Elements 15 will allow us to bring forward all the current photos, including the various categorizing features that we have set?

Title says it all. I am just concerned about how much we may lose bu upgrading to 15. We do not employ all the available whistles and bells (which is why we have not upgraded), but 5.0 is getting creaky and it is time to do something.

I think you might do better asking this in the Elements forum — The Lounge is a non technical forum. We can move this thread if you like.

It's possible to convert your PSE5 catalogs to the PSE15 version, but you have to follow a special procedure because the database engine has been changed from Microsoft Access to Sqlite.

Backup your PSE5 catalog and in the above document,

go to 'Convert catalog backups'
