When I close Editor now, I do not get the edited picture in Organizer

Having problems with new 2026 PSE.  Now when I close a picture in Editor, the new picture does not show up in Organizer, and I do not get the dialogue box to even ask me.  It just closes.  If I change from jpeg to psd, then the dialogue does show, but each time it does not show that it is going to Organizer.  How do I get the dialogue back for all of my pictures from Editor?  Thank you.  Never had this before in 20 years.

Rang Adobe.  Now you have to 'SAve' not just close, and every time you have to tick to send it to Organizer.  Not as good as before!

Yes, I have to check the boxes each time if I want to save to a Version Set, or even to save an edited file to the Organizer.

I don't care what you were told by Adobe Support.  I am not convinced that this is by design, particularly the lack of stickiness.

I can no longer use Tppaz as a Plug-in.  Adobe said I would have to contact Topaz about this, as Elements no longer recognised it.  I am having trouble adding on brushes, never had this before.  They told me that clsoing the file no longer shows there is more than one picture, I would have to use 'Save' and every time I would have to tick the boxes.  Might not sound a big deal, but when I might edit 500 pictures, such as at a wedding, it is not as good as it once was.  A step backwards for me.  Do you have the same problem closing to Organizer?

Hi @IAN JULIAN,

You can copy the Topaz plug-in files at the following location: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/Elements 26. You should then be able to use the Topaz plug-in inside Photoshop Elements. Let us know if this doesn't work for you.

Regards,

Medha

I don't think there is any point in reinstalling. We will just have to wait for an update to fix it.

I don't know if everyone is having the same problem that I have.  Besides this major defect as listed above, I cannot Add a plug-in as normal and when I try and add signatures as a brush add on, they disappear.  Is it just me?

There are some bugs in the Save As dialog.  Choices to save in the Organizer are not sticky and Version Sets are not being saved when wanted or created when not wanted.

I have not yet tried this and I don't know whether this will help any, but try making some changes to the options in the Preferences>Saving Files dialog:

Thanks, i had tried that.  It seems that I have a bug. I have just tried my second PC and the same thing happens.  What a nusiance, but this bug is mportant.  Should I uninstall and try again on both computers.  Hope I do not have to pay again.
