when I d/l 10 photos into photo bin the same 10 open up in the work area

the 10 photos go into the photo bin and the same photos open upin the work area at once

If I’m understanding you, each one of the images open in your photo bin are also teed up in PSE’s work area for editing, etcetera. That’s exactly what’s supposed to happen.

never happened before, just had 10 photos in photo bin and click on each one to work on and then clcick on next one . not have 10 photos at once in work area

What you describe does happen that way if you are in quick mode. What I have been describing is in the Advanced mode (which was called expert) in earlier versions.
