When I load jpg files in Elements 2019, they do not automatically do a "Fit on Screen"

In all previous versions of Elements I had, the image would come in filling the screen. However, in Elements 2019, I only see part of the image and have to do a "Fit on Screen" to see the whole image. I am assuming this is effected by a setting somewhere as I also installed Elements 2019 on my wife's computer and the images come in properly there, filling the screen. Only difference I can think of is that she still has Elements 14 on her computer also while I was told to remove it when I was having problems installing (needed to use Administrator account).

    Hello,

Please try resetting the preferences once.

To do so, navigate to File Menu > Preferences > General.

An alternative to this would be pressing Ctrl/Cmd and K keys simultaneously to view the preferences dialog box.

Click on the 'Reset Preferences on next Launch' as shown in the screenshot.

Let me know if that works for you.

    Thanks,

    Medha

Minor point, it is Edit > Preferences > General. However, using 'Reset Preferences on next Launch' worked! Thank you very much!
