When I open my Photoshop Elements 2022 IHave to sign into my Adobe account then enter serial number

Yesterday on opening my Photoshop 2022  I had the popup again about updating to  Elements 2025 so I went intp preference and unchecked some boxes as I had read on this site to do that. Later when I opened it again another box appeared saying to scan Q code or paste link in browser and verify my Adobe account . Upon correctly signing in it then asked me to enter my serial number for the product. That seemed to work and I eventually was able to use my program.  Today no pop up of upgrade to 2025 but  same thing about signing into my Adobe account to verify and entering serial number happened today and even more delay as the editor portion took awhile to load.   Is this because I changed my preferences in the editor portion.  Should I go back in and check those boxes I unchecked?  I am happy still with the version I have as works for what I want to accomplish.  But I don't want to go through this rigmorale everyday to open program. advice wanted , thanks.  Also see there is anew forum but where doe Elements fit it on that

This is a problem that is affecting users.  There is a HelpX article that deals with this issue for the Adobe Creative Cloud.  I don't know whether it will work for Elements.  I have asked Adobe for some clarification as to what users are supposed to do in this situation.

In the meantime, can you tell us what Operating System you are using.  Have you recently upgraded from Windows 10 to 11?

And which boxes did you change in Preferences?

Hi Greg, It was actually the preferences in the organizer section not the editor section--- I Unchecked :Noftify me about Adobe Products  and also unchecked Notify me about product support notifications.  I now have rechecked them.  I am signed into Adobe on the the actual product.  I will see tomorrow if I have trouble again.  I have used this program on this particular laptop for 2 and half years and it was Windows 11 from the beginning.  I have this product on my desktop at my home so hope this is not an ongoing problem . I have been able to reopen it today multiple times after signing in and was same yesterday once resigned in but occurred when I did it for first time today.
