Why does Elements hang after I pin photos in Places?

Using Organiser in PSE14 which all works well except after I pin the location of photos in Places.

The 'Pinning' works (as I can see after reboot) but Elements hangs indefinitely. Note the Mac does not hang.

Requires Force Quit to allow Elements to be rebooted to continue pinning other photos.

Something is not right.

Any suggestions?

Can you try placing the images on the map in Media view using Add Location on Action panel at the bottom of the screen?

Yes I have just tried that - Add Location in Media View and then check by switching to Places. It works!

So why does this work but using Places hangs Organizer? So is Places redundant!

What happens if the photos already have GPS data (some of mine do, others don't). I guess they should already be 'pinned' in Places. I would need to check that
