Why does my stand-alone PSE 15 that I've owned for years want me to start a free trial of something?

I've owned and used a purchased, stand-alone copy of PSE 15 for several years. Today, I tried to open it and this came up:

I've never had to sign in before and I have no desire to start a free trial of anything. What's going on here? Has anyone else had this happen?
