Question

Why does Photospop elements 26 suck so bad? I've been using elements for years for simple edits and this is by far the worst version.

It’s terrible. It’s glitchy. It won’t import files correctly. It won’t simplify text so I can add mutiple outline colors anymore.  You guys screwed it up.

You can’t add multiple outlines (I assume you mean strokes) to editable text.

Quite often when users say “it’s glitchy” that means they don’t know how to do something.

There are two primary ways of adding multiple strokes of different colors.  Use whatever method makes you all warm and fuzzy inside.

What I posted below builds on what Greg said.

    1. Add your text.
      2. Add a stoke.
      3. SIMPLIFY
      4. ADD ANOTHER STROKE
      5. SIMPLIFY, and repeat.

Just simplify the layer containing the test after each stroke and you will be fine.

This is a bit more detailed about fonts / rasterizing / and simplifying the text.
You just can’t rasterize the text and add another stroke,  you have to simplify that text layer and probably erase all the white after you simplify.

Lorem Ipsum is a text placeholder, new to PSE 2026- it’s been around for  about 500 years.

@Austin Woodrum, this is a user-to-user forum.  If you came here to rant, that’s fine.  If you want other users to help you find a solution, you are going to have to give us more details of your problems.

What do you mean when you say the program won’t import files correctly?

When you say that the program won’t simplify text to add multiple outline colors anymore, what version are you comparing it to?  Do you mean it won’t rasterize the text layer?  I am not seeing any problem.  Please explain.

To which “you guys” are you referring to?
