Question

Why doesn't Adobe keep up with the latest operating system of Macs?

I upgraded my Mac to the lastest operating system of Tahoe 26.2 and tried to open Photoshop Elements 2022.  I got a message that said...

Adobe Photoshop cannot run on this computer because the minimum system requirement is Mac OS X version.
It is now January 17, 2026 and I can't even open Photoshop Elements 2022. No warning from Adobe.  It just will not open at all.
I have read other forums and they are all complaining that they can't open thier Photoshop Elements either, not even with the latest version of Photoshop Elements 2026.
Come on Adobe, you are better than this.  Don't make me lose faith in the quality of your products and future upgrades.
Please fix whatever bug it is, so I can use my Photoshop Elements 2022 that I bought and paid for.  I can't even open the program!

Adobe is not going to fix anything on software that is 4 years old.   It's 100% on you for not reading the documentation the day before the OS came out.

I just went from windows 10 to windows 11- before I did I checked out all my software and signed out from all adobe products.  For me- only one issue with PSE 2010- which cause me to do a system reset- ok so I can't use software that's 16 years old- I forget about it and move on.

I know you  are frustrated, but you need to realize that you are basically out of luck.   By the time you try out "workarounds"or other things posted, and not get anything poositive out of it you could have been creating and editing with pse 2026.

It's time for you to do the same:  Forget about it, and move on.

As a  previous user it will only be $79- which works out to $2.19 a month (the program comes with a 3 year term liscense- after 3 years it will stop working), which is dirt cheap.

There really is no reason to even mention "I paid good money" or "Perpetual liscense"- other than to express  frustration.

Here is a link to a trial of pse 2026- give it a try.

I feel bad for you, Nancy but you upgraded your Mac OS - not Adobe.  And your PSE 2022 doesn't have any sort of bug that's causing your present circumstances either.  What Adobe DID DO was post this to the public the DAY BEFORE Tahoe 26.2 was released and you didn't do your homework.   You would have learned that PSE 2022 won't run under Tahoe 26.2.

Once upon a time, I was also similarly affected by an Apple upgrade so I know how rotten it feels.  In the end, I knew I'd need to get over it, move past it, then forget about it, so that's what I did.
