Why doesn't Elements 2023 have an autosave?

Because mne locks up sometimes, whenm I am not even doing anything that compleex.
So if I forget to save my work regularly, I can uslose alot of time and work, which as everyone knows, that is very firstrating!

It just doesn't , it never has.   Every time I'm working on something and I get up from my computer, I save whatever as a psd- even if I get up for only 30 seconds.

    That seems like a huge oversight to me, for such a famous program.
    But I agree, "Save - Save - Save!".then repeat often, most certainly is the
    best MO, while using Photoshop Elements.
