Since the windows 10 update, any time I try to edit a photo I get this error; "could not complete your request because the active layer is empty". I then hit ok and get a second error that says; " could not compete the command because there is not enough ram"

I have tried the regedit, OverridePhysicalMemoryMB solution......nope

then the preference, performance, etc solution.....still nope.

I'm out of solutions, can someone help???!!!

We can see if you have done the registry edit correctly (there are a number of traps, such as a space after the "OverridePhysicalMemoryMB"). There are many cases reported here where the edit was not done;  and it worked after correction.

So, can you copy and paste here the first 12 or  15 lines of what you get with the menu Help >> System Information ?

If the available RAM for Elements has not been increased, the edit was NOT correctly done.

Here is the registry fix for Photoshop Elements:

Error: An integer between 50 and 8 is required | Elements | Windows 10

I hope that an Adobe update will address this issue for Photoshop Elements, as it has been addressed and fixed for Photoshop.
