XMP files - ?

Whenever I work with RAW files, I get an XMP file added to my listing.

There is a way of preventing this in Photoshop, but I cannot find a way of preventing it in Elements 15.

Can it be done?

Help please!

You can open the raw image with editor. Doing that will open up ACR dialog box. Press Ctrl+K to set preferences. Under 'Save image settings in' of preferences dialog, select the option 'Camera Raw Database'. Doing that will save all the changes in Camera Raw database instead of creating an XMP.

Thanks.

Brilliant! Thank you for your help; I knew there had to be a way - I just couldn't find it.

Just one thing; Pressing Ctrl+K actually didn't open up the preferences box, but I recognised the icon on the task bar, because I'd used it in Photoshop. (This is what I'd been looking for).

I didn't realise that I had to open a image first, in order to find it. (Technophobe!)

Happy now.

Thanks
