Question

2 different codec footage on the same timeline is creating issue with different frame rate

I have two types of footage: one is a multicamera switching codec in MOV format, and the other is ISO camera footage in MXF format. The total length is 1.5 hours, but the codecs and frame rates are different, and there's also frequent audio drop frames. I managed to edit it, but when I try to export, I’m facing problems. The render time is too long, and when I export a short section for testing, there are drop frames and glitches in the video.

What’s the solution if I have two different codec footages, different frame rates, and audio drop frames?

To help us understand what’s going on, it would be useful to know the following details:

  • Your Media:
    • What are the frame rates and resolutions of the clips you’re using?
    • What codecs are the clips using (e.g., H.264, ProRes)?
  • Your Sequence:
    • What is the frame rate and resolution of your timeline (sequence)?
  • Your Export Settings (if applicable):
    • What are the format, codec, and frame rate settings?

With this information, we can give you more specific guidance to resolve the issue.
