2018 Update - Effects pane is no longer working

Hi all,

Since I updated my Adobe Premiere Pro to the 2018 version, the effect pane is no longer working. When I try to go into the effect editor to add something to my video, everything just becomes black and I have to restart the programme to be able to do anything. Is this a bug in the 2018 version? Is there anything I can do?

I'm working with Mac Sierra 10.13.1 (And the Premiere Pro graphics and audio editor are working fine)

    OK.  I've seen this myself, and we've had several similar reports from others.  Resetting the workspace should solve it.

    Terminology matters.  Are you asking about the Effect Controls panel, or the Effects workspace?

    Sorry, the effects workspace. The effects control panel works fine for graphics.
