23.4 can't open previosly saved projects and worse performing than 23.3?

I have this issue where I'll create a new project start editing, saving away, I'll close out of the project and go to reopen it another time and it just won't reopen.
I tried clearing cache and reinstalling but it made no difference. Going back to 23.3 and the file opens perfectfly normally and performance actually seems to be better too, I was having a few hangs when doing transforms, but that doens't seem to be an issue in 23.3

    Hi @Kevin-Monahan, thanks for your answer.

     

    I did all of this and the 23.4 version still unusable. I have to wait 20 secs between each clicks, can't save because it crashes, the UI freeze when I press ALT, I can't move the clip in the program monitor because it crashes, can't use text editing because it works only when I'm lucky, and so on..

     

    I don't think " clear media cache " can fix all of that. I also tried to reinstall everything and even to check all the boxes when I launch Premiere with SHIFT. Nothing changes.

    Hi @jtfvbjhkuybtvi36, Hello @davebaff, Hi @Akai 2.2.5,

    I read about your complaint with the new version. Can you try the following: Press Shift at Launch. The Reset Options dialog box launches. Choose to Delete Media Cache. The application launches. See if the performance is any better. Let us know if it does.

    Same problem, but had to go back to 23.0 for any joy.

    I have the exact same problem, this version of Premiere is the worst I've used. I had to go back to 23.3 even if that damn " save pop-up"  keep showing every 5 minutes and kill my workflow. I had no choice, even a click on a menu tab makes the app crash when it's not a new project.
