Question

60fps footage, mixed with 24fps or 30fps (timeline and export help?)

I am shooting a music video, and we need slow motion footage which I'm obviously shooting in 60fps. If I was to mix 60fps with any other frame rate, would 24fps or 30fps work better? And in what timeline should I edit my work on Premiere Pro to get the smooth, good quality?

And lastly, should I export it at 24p or 30p (or something else???) Best quality for youtube?

Thanks a lot!

I shoot all my real time footage at 24 fps.  I prefer that film-like quality.  It's also standards compliant.

I shoot 60p, then edit in a 30p sequence in Premiere. The 60p footage automatically adjusts to 30p in the sequence - I don't need to do anything to it - but then for scenes that I want to slow down, I can change speed to 50% and it looks perfect!

Now if you want to go with 24p as Jim suggests for the film look, that would also work, but I believe the magic number for slow motion using 60p in a 24p sequence is then 40% (each frame played once).

Thanks
