Question

60fps to 25fps (help with best shooting settings)

Hi all,

I'm shooting a video soon that needs to combine slow motion and normal speed, and will appreciate any tips on how to approach it for best results.

Basically, the video will be shot at 60fps (125 shutter). I would like to change some of the footage to slow-mo in post, but also keep some of the footage in normal speed. The end video will be exported on 25fps.

So, my question is: Is there a way to avoid (in post) the high shutter speed choppiness for the normal speed footage?

Thank you!

    1. Know in advance whether a clip will be normal speed or slow motion.

    2. Shoot clips at the appropriate speed.  If you want the choice in post, shoot it both ways.

    3. Don't mix ATSC and PAL frame rates.  Choose 24/30/60 or 25/50.

Al I can say is shoot in 50p

converting from socalled ntsc framerate to pal framerate can be a big pain.
