A low-level exception occurred in: ImporterMPEG (Imported:39)

i've just installed Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017, when i tried to import video files like mp4 and mov, only the audio files could be imported after an error message "A low-level exception occurred in: ImporterMPEG (Imported:39) "  showed up.

I've tried reinstalling, clean the media cache, and "change the folder common to common1 solution" just like in other discussion but it still won't work

Before this happened ,i was working in adobe premiere pro 2015 and everything was perfect,i could import mp4 and mov files from my camera. I've tried to import other types of file and  some types of files like AVI still work.

does anybody have any solution to this?

    Hi Kawiezel,

What is the version of Operating system?

If it is Windows 10/7 machine, In Premiere Pro > Preferences > Media > Uncheck "Enable accelerated Intel H.264 decoding" > Restart Premiere Pro & Check the red frames.

    Thanks,

    Vidya Sagar.

Here's what I just discovered... unfortunately it fixed one problem but caused another.

I renamed the clips that wouldn't import and it allowed those clips to be imported.  However, after renaming the two problem clips, that caused the other clips no to import.

All of my clips were named "01-claxton-creek," "02-claxton-creek," and so on to "08-claxton-creek."  So I renamed the 2 problem clips to just "06-claxton" and I could import them just fine.

Unfortunately, all of the other clips named "##-claxton-creek" now won't import.

    Good grief Adobe!

As a footnote, the "problem clips" import into DaVinci Resolve 14 & 15 beta without any issue.

I realise this is an older thread, however, I have just encountered a similar problem on Mac whilst using proxies. I found that ticking "Enable Proxies" provided a solution. PREFERENCES>MEDIA>ENABLE PROXIES

Why would Adobe let us create proxies then, not enable us to use them unless we tick this box, that is unticked by default?

This solved by problem but seems like a work-around. Would you explain what unchecking this does??

If it is Windows 10/7 machine, In Premiere Pro > Preferences > Media > Uncheck "Enable accelerated Intel H.264 decoding" > Restart Premiere Pro & Check the red frames.

    Thanks,

    Vidya Sagar.

LOW-LEVEL EXCEPTION OCCURRED IN IMPORTER MXF IMPORTER 46

When i switch time lines  i get this error? Only with one of the timeline. and when I scrub through it it gives me the error.

What does it mean? Is there a bad video file or audio file? Is it an issue with the recording? I need to know so i can fix the camera or get a new card?
