A low-level exception occurred in: ImporterQuickTime (Importer:25) Error

I keep receiving this error message when trying to import to Premiere. It loads the file but can not play, and Premiere eventually crashes.

I also get the same error in Media Encoder, it converts it fine into Mp4 and Mepg, however the audio is out of sync and it also crashes once imported into Premiere.

I just came back to Premiere (again) and ran into this "File has no audio or video stream" and a "Low level ImporterMpeg:39" error too.  Odd thing is, I have 8 video clips, all shot the same day, on the same camera, at the same rate, and only 2 of the clips give Premiere trouble.

I was, and still am, using DaVinci Resolve 14 and 15 beta (the free version, which is a lot like Premiere), and it never had a problem importing the exact same "problem" videos.  The only (only) trouble with DaVinci is it's painfully slow playback using 4k, unless one spends the time to use the Resolve Optimizer, which is an awesome tool that allows the video to play back PERFECTLY however, it creates a huge 350GB cache out of 20GB of video, so that won't work.

So that's why I tried Premiere again.

But I did find a "fix" per se...  I import edthe "problem clips" into Resolve, rendered and saved the clips as new .mov files, and the damn "problem videos" imported into Premiere without any trouble at all.

As I told the Adobe techs, maybe they should discuss thissituation with the Blackmagic Design team of DaVinci Resolve.  I guess I'll be using both until I see this issue resolved by Adobe.

I think I am going back to Avid...so frustrated with these errors.

I noticed when converting using Media Encoder the videos became out of sync.

Sorry all for the SUPER late response, I found a great workaround.

Use Handbrake OR Mpeg Stream Clip to convert the files.

Is there any solution to this error? It appears randomly during preview video and during export. Then all crashes. Is there any patch for this? My videos are recorded with Mivue 538 Car Recorder.

    Hi BlueGraySphere,

Which camera generated these .mov files?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

thank you for your very fast answer and sorry for my late reply.

The .mov files were created by a Casio EX-S880 Digicam several years ago in 848x480, 29fps.

I am editing a movie which contains footage from different cameras. My sequence settings match the newest and best quality footage which is AVCHD 1080p50.

But in a short test the error also occurred when trying to create a separate sequence with setting matching the old clips from the Casio.

    Thanks,

    Fabian

Same for me. I imported a MOV file into Premiere Pro CC 2017. Got repeated error message when try to preview the video.

It crashed Premiere Pro sometimes. But it is quite annoying that I don't know what cause it or how to solve it.

The same for me too. The most strange thing is that it behaves differently in the Timeline \ Program Viewer and in the Source Viewer. In first case it is giving errors in a few moments after starting preview and audio disappears, but if I put the MOV file into Source Viewer, press Play and don't touch anything then everything works OK from the beginning till the end, and only if I pause the preview and move the slider back or forth, then the errors appear.

Dear Adobe, please fix this critical issue ASAP, because it's the real showstopper with no workarounds!

I have the same problem. Crashed 4 times in a row with no explanation besides that little message. Very frustrating.
