When I start a project in Adobe Premiere on my work computer and open that project in Premiere at home, the image looks like this and I can't find a way to fix it, and I don't understand why this is happening.

I'm on a trip for another couple days so can't test this.  I suspect that your Scratch Disks or Cache files may be your issue.  Are those files being saved to your portable drive along with your source clips and project?

I cleared the cache and emptied the scratch disk. It remained the same.

When copying to the portable disk, I included the temporary files created by Premiere.

I returned from my trip and transfered a project from my small Microsoft Surface computer to my larger and more capable Lenevo Legion.  It worked.   I started the project on the travel computer by putting in project itself, all the media and double checking that the scratch disks were set to "same as project".   When home yesterday, I plugged a spare USB drive into the small computer, used Explorer to transfer the entire folder and then transfered again to the larger computer.   That left me with two identical folders, one in each computer.   On the larger computer, I opened the folder and double clicked on the project file.  Windows knew the association with Premiere and the project opened.

Now the challenge is to see if we can figure out why it works for me and not for you.  Do you see anything I may have done differently than you?

I create a new project with the respective videos and save everything to an external hard drive that I unload on my home PC. When I open the project, all the videos are like this. If I create a new project on my home PC, everything appears fine.

On the home computer, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Hi! I tried creating a project from scratch and imported the other project. It remained the same.

How are you creating and then moving the project between computers?
