Able to use 'insert' button on timeline, but cannot drag - Should I be worried?

Hey all,

In my Source panel I'm able to add footage to my Timeline via the Insert button, but after performing the 'In and Out' of the exact footage I want, I am not able to drag with mouse over to Timeline.

Is this cause for concern?

I'm deep into editing a documentary with many interviews and small bits of footage, is this something that will cause me not being able to export when finished?

Thanks

Drag from the Source Window.  ie the Image you see in Source Monitor

or the Image Icon or the audio Icon  - below the source monitor.

That will drag the Video/ Audio as per in and out points.

Where it reads "Insert" is how I'm adding footage from Source panel over to the Timeline.

Everything plays normal and fine, and I'm able to do everything I need.

My question is the Mickey Mouse hand not working with dragging, does that mean there's a serious problem?

    That worked. Thank you!

So for further notice, I cannot drag from the 'meter' only from the image/window?

And should I be good-to-go from here on out?

This is the Source panel I'm referring to.

The green box is what I'm trying to grab - when hovering over with mouse a white Mickey-Mouse hand appears and when trying to drag out of this meter it will not allow me to.

The green box only moves back and fourth.

If you create a new sequence, does the problem persist?

    Version of Premiere?

    Hardware and OS?

I can play the footage and watch the film in its entirety if I want.

I can do everything I want, add cross-dissolve, move footage to different spots in Timeline...

When the hand appears over the selection in the Source panel, trying to grab and drag doesn't work, just moves back and fourth within the meter.
