Access new drop down values for updated effect plugin
When an effect (or transition) has a drop down parameter, Premiere seems to also save the maximum index possible in that list in your project. When later the plugin is updated and the drop down parameter gains extra entries (at the end of the list, so in a safe manner), Premiere then *does* show you the extra options when you open the parameter's drop down list, but it *won't* let you select them; if you try to, Premiere just selects the previous maximum value. Maybe Premiere is trying to save you from unintended non-backward compatible plugin configuration mismatches here, but then it shouldn't show the extra entries either as to not confuse the user (bug?).
I know I can re-apply the effect on my clip and manually pass over all parameter values from the old instance to the new one, but this is error prone, and frankly too tedious when you need to update lots and lots of plugins like this (these plugins have a lot of parameters too).
Is there any way around this, except from unzipping the project file and figuring out where and how Premiere stores this "Thou shan't pass this value!" limit?
