Question

Accidentally Deleted footage by rendering as the same name?

Edited a video for a few hours, then I accidentally rendered my completed video as the same name as the raw footage. I got an error saying the names were the same and I clicked "ok" and decided to rename the video. I saw that the raw footage was gone and the entire video was just the media offline error. Help, what do I do? This is something recorded a long time ago, and isn't something I can re-record. Using Adobe Premiere Pro 2022 22.6.3 (Build 2).

If it is not too big it could be into the trash bin.

Files that have been overwritten do not end up in the trash, they are gone.

Do a finder/explorer search. Might still be there as you renamed the export.

Do you have backup media?

If not, there isn't anything that can be done if you overwrote the file.

If you didn't overwrite the file, you can relink it:
