Add an animation from side of screen...

(hopefully I explain myself well enough for people to help me out)

Specifically, I want to add an animated duck that appears from the side of the screen, quacks, and then disappears - 3 seconds tops.

I want to add this to my Premier Pro video project.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to do this?

Even if it's the right search term.

I have Premiere Pro CC 2015 and After Effects CC 2015.

Thanks

Nick

Correct answer shooternz

If you have your animated duck (asset)...  you use the Motion> (Position and Scale) Controls to bring it on and off screen with KEY FRAMES

Thank you for the replies gentlemen, much appreciated.

Could any of you go that little bit further and suggest somewhere for me to get my animated duck?

I can find plenty of duck images (obviously) but they all come with the black/white box around them.... I'm after an 'outlined' duck.... any suggestions?

Thank you

Nick

Use After Effects to key out the BG.  - Key Light.

PPro might bre able to do the same...try it.  Luma Key , Chroma Key..UltraKey.

Once your BG is keyed out..you have a duck as an element for you to  animate.

Thank you shooternz

In a round-a-bout way you helped me.... as I started playing with Luma Key and Ultra Key, then began to use the Free Draw Bezier, learnt about Masking and Tracking, then just used this under the Opacity effect - and hey presto, just what I wanted

Plus I got to learn about some other effects and controls too.

Thanks again!! You have my sincere thanks
