Add marker comments without stopping playback

Firstly: it's so frustrating when people make comments like "why would you like to do that?"

as if just because you can't imagine another workflow that means the workflow shouldn't exist or wouldn't be helpful. I'll answer the question because i want to enter market comments without stopping playback,

 here's the workflow:

 I'm responsible for making short clips out of a 2 hour podcast.  I'm at the filming of the podcast and i want to make markers and NOTES about key moments in the podcast WHILE IT'S HAPPENING, and i don't want to have to make the notes some place else and then cut and paste them manually into each market (essentially defeating the point of adding markers live). After the filming is over, i want to line up the video + audio files into my project and already have my markers WITH TITLES OF WHAT THEY ARE so i can immediately get to editing instead of having to spend another 20-40 minutes copying my notes into the markers. 

if you have a better ideas for how to achieve this, I'm all ears.
