How can we add Open and/or Closed Captioning to an Encore Project for a Blu Ray Disc?

Correct answer Stan Jones

From Encore help: "Closed captions are not supported for Blu-ray or Flash projects."

See subtitles:

Encore Help | Subtitle basics

And particularly subtitle scripts:

Adobe Encore * Subtitle scripts

I am not up on the current file export options for caption files from PR. Will it export a text file suitable to EN? Anyone?

I don't know either off the top of my head, Stan.

CC (aka "Line 21") is not widely supported in DVD, and the only PC tool I know of that supports this is Scenarist SD.

Encore will handle subtitles easily enough although I really do recommend creating them using something like the wonderful (and completely free) Subtitle Edit which will output the titling in whatever script form that you need (including Scenarist SD CC)

Hope this helps
