Adding a year counter to a project

Hey,

Beginner here. I have a hundred images that I need to stitch together in Premiere Pro to create a timelapse to then turn into a GIF. Each image represents a year, is there a way for me to add the year as a text layer on each image automatically or will I have to do everything by hand?
