Adding Adjustment Layer or Black Video Crashes Premiere

When I edit a video, I add Adjustment Layers occasionally Black Video to the final product. Yesterday, I added them and Premiere started getting wacky. I wasn't able to expand the edjustment layer along the full video or add the black video. It wouldn't do anything and if it did, it took several minutes. The timeline would disappear as well.

I uninstalled it and did a re-install, that didn't work. Re-booted the laptop. Like I said, everything was fine until yesterday.

Here's my specs:

Premiere: V22.5

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9850H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
Installed RAM 80.0 GB (79.7 GB usable)
Device ID 624D1A99-D34C-482E-AADC-138A8EAED3BB
Product ID 00325-80000-00000-AAOEM
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Thanks

Hey, glad you figured it out and got back on the road.  I had a very similar issue and resetting preferences took care of the problem as well.  Well, good for us, eh?  Holler back if you need help again.

Just opened an older project, one that has layers and it's working perfectly. But, I'm still having a hard time adding new layers to new projects.
