Adjust framing after Multi-Cam sequence is create?

Hello all,

I am editing a multicam sequence and the subject starts to drift to the right side halfway through the shot (it's a single). I'd like to simply readjust the framing so that she is centered again, but the edge of the frame is black.

In Final Cut Pro, it is as easy as double clicking the Multicam track and editing the shot. In Premiere, I am totally lost as you can not "decompose" the two angles and edit seperatly

If your footage has a different aspect ratio than your multi-camera source sequence, you can use the Auto Reframe effect to keep the subject centered in the frame.

To apply it:

  1. In the Project panel, hold Cmd (Mac) / Ctrl (Windows) and double-click the multi-camera source sequence to open it in the timeline.
  2. Go to the Effects panel and search for Auto Reframe.
  3. Drag the effect onto your clip(s) in the timeline.

This will help adjust the framing automatically to better fit the target aspect ratio.

Right click the multicam sequence in the project panel and choose open in timeline
