Adjustment Layer Bug

so this is a bug I've been trying to find an answer to for the last few days with no results.

I'm using an adjustment layer to apply a Lumetri Color effect to an entire sequence, But when I change the opacity of this layer it changes the opacity of the clip in the video track below it (effectively lowering the exposure) and doesn't apply the colour effect.

I've tried a fresh install, updating all relevant drivers, running software only rendering, creating a new project and reimporting the sequence with a fresh adjustment layer, no joy at all.

weird thing is that sometimes when I fire up Premiere everything works exactly as it should...for about 5 minutes before it remembers it's supposed to be playing up.

any input would be hugely appreciated!

Changes to Adjustment Layers affect the clips underneath.  (That's their whole purpose.)  That includes Opacity.

This sort of on again, no I'm fine really ... haha! ... gotcha again! behavior can be rather annoying ... I've had this behavior on a couple of other issues over the last five years.

It would be very useful if you could post your OS/CPU/RAM/GPU/vRAM, the video driver in use, and the kind of media you're using. Just to try and nail down the info that others might want or need to figure out a cure. Oh ... and what other effects or third-party plugins might be in use on the sequence.

    Hi Neil,

thanks for your reply and apologies for taking a while to get back to you.

Running Premiere CC 2017.1.2 on a 2014 MB Pro, OS 10.10.5. 2.6Ghz i5, 8Gb RAM, Intel Iris GPU 1536 MB vRAM.

The footage in question is all from previous projects, so it's kind of a cut-down, all H.264 (not ideal, but we have to work with what we're given...)

It's definitely a weird one, I've tried recreating this problem in another test project and not had the same issue...

Yea ... find me if you can? Love that kind of thing. Maybe a faerie got into that one project file ...
