Adjustment layer copy paste above multiple clips

Hi! probably very basic for the experience, but how do I copy and paste the adjustment layer so that it doesnt get pasted on the main timeline? Whenever i paste it it gets insterted between clips instead of above clips. Thanks a lot!

Copy the clip or adjustment layer and before pasting it, select "Toggle the track targeting for this track" and locate the playhead from where you want the clip you are going to paste to be inserted.
