Adjustment Layer Error

Hi Adobe Forum,

I've been trying to create certain transitions with adjustment layers on Adobe Premiere Pro, however when I try to recreate the ones I see they don't work. They worked perfectly fine yesterday and I got the effects I wanted, but for some reasons the keyframe animations on my adjustment layers is not working today. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere, as well as restarting my computer. There still is no keyframe animation.

I just tried moments ago and was able to do a roll transition with no problem using an adjustment layer and keyframes.

Actually I have the same problem and I found other temporal solution.
If you cut the first bottom clip at the point that starts the AL, and locate your clip file in the media explorer, you can move the file to the timeline pressing ALT, replacing the piece of clip that you have below the AL. I don't know why works, but the problem perssists if you don't do this.

Update: So I've been trying to find a way to work around this by ditching the adjustment layer and just editing the actual video with specific keyframes. I've found that my offset effect only works on a clip with a longer duration. To hide the offset effect I used a directional blur to make the video look like there was a whip/blur cut. The effect keyframes can't work, for some reason, on really short video clips but just fine on longer clips. It's weird because I was getting the effect I wanted two days ago but the effects aren't working anymore.

It may be that your AL overlaps the end of the clip.  Line those up so both end at the same point.  Whet happens?

The issue persists, the animation does not occur but instead the program just jumps to the final keyframe that I put in.

Could you post some screen shots to show us what is going on?

Yup!

So I've got an offest effect on my adjustment layer. You can see that there are keyframes in the effects panel which means that there should be some animation. However the offset animation does not occur at all. This is happening for a lot of my adjustment layers. Instead of actually animating, Premiere just jumps to the final keyframe. The animation was working yesterday but has stopped since. I have the offset effect going from -960.0 to 960.0

Thanks for reaching out!

I'm messing around trying to recreate your problem. One question that is completely out of left field, but could you go to your Effects Controls panel and click the ">" next to Opacity and see what it is set at? The only way I could make my effects on a layer adjustment not work was to drop the Opacity down to 0%. Like I said, shot in the dark kind of answer but that's all I got right now.
