Question

Adobe 12.01 - Do you use 3rd party audio plugins? Stay away.

Hold off on installing if you use respectable 3rd party audio plugins - Waves, Izotope etc

Went through a long process of testing this with a helpful Adobe chat tech and this was the conclusion we reached: patch update 12.01 does not recognize 3rd party plugins, despite installing and reinstalling.

No idea or indication of when this will be improved.

Note: I have to do lots of audio fixing for our projects and don't find the Adobe plugins cut the mustard but I also think it's important to stay updated within the Adobe cloud. Can I have it both ways? No.

Mod note: Changed title slightly

Hi DGolf.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Is it crashing immediately after the launch?

One of the users resolved the issue with Third party plugins in this Cannot Open Projects After Updating to 12.0.1

Please check& let us know the status.

Thanks,

Vidya.

Hi Vidya, I spent two hours yesterday working with an Adobe rep and we used most of the methods detailed in that thread. None worked and I have just had to revert back to version 12.0

I am eager to hear about how developments with this issue as I don't want to remain on version 12.0 and miss updates.

Thanks
