Question

Adobe crashes when clicking footage

Hello,

I currently run Adobe Premiere Pro (Most recent version available right now 29th of August) on Windows 10 Home with a PC of 16GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060.

Importing files into my bin is not a problem, but as soon as I try to click on it or move it to the timeline, Premiere Pro instantly crashes.

(I recently updated my NVIDIA Software and removed all of my workspace information in order to resolve a previous issue of both my source- and playback monitor not functioning and it's been happening since then. Because of this, I cannot see whether my attempts to solve the previous issue have been successfull.)

Meanwhile I have tried to re-install the programme, but the crashing problem remains present.

I would greatly appreciate if anybody could help me out.

Hi Scurio,

Sorry to hear that you are facing this issue. Please try to reset app preferences (FAQ: How to reset (trash) preferences in Premiere Pro? ) and clean cache ( FAQ: How to clean (delete or trash) media cache files? ) to isolate any cache or preference corruption issue.

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,

Sumeet

Did you restall program after using Adobe Cleaner tool?

Try trashing preferences.
